Remembering Brandon

On September 13th, 2021 Brandon lost his battle with depression and took his life. Brandon was only 31and so much more than that one moment of despair. He was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and a friend to all that needed a friend. He loved music and chess and all live sporting events – Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Miami Marlins!
Brandon had dreams and hopes that he never had a chance to fulfill. We want to keep Brandon alive in our hearts and memorialize him by doing what he no longer can. We have chosen 3 ways to honor Brandon and keep his memory alive.
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS PROJECT
One way we have chosen to remember and honor Brandon is by performing random acts of kindness in his name. You never know just how much someone may need your kind words, a hug, or a simple act of kindness. Help us to create a lasting ongoing list of all of the many acts of kindness given and received in Brandon’s honor.
How you can help
Look for opportunities for random acts of kindness to perform in Brandon’s name. When you do, please share Brandon’s website and ask them to join the Random Acts of Kindness Project by performing their own act of random kindness to someone else in Brandon’s name. Our goal is to have everyone be so kind as to enter their name and act of kindness given or received as you journey through life. We will enjoy reading how kindness spreads in Brandon’s name for years to come.
We have cards the size of business cards with Brandon’s name and project information. If you would like to hand them out to friends and family please contact us and we will mail some out to you.

Scholarship
One dream Brandon had was to attend a computer coding school and become a software developer. In memory of Brandon we have established a the BRANDON WEHBY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, to help deserving students attend computer coding programs. Brandon was a Wellington High School alumni so we will select a student from his high school to attend Palm Beach Code School.
Our goal is to send one student a year to Palm Beach Code School with a full-ride scholarship. This will require raising $5,000 / year. If we are able to raise more money we will be able to help more students!
How You Can help
Donate to Brandon’s scholarship so we can continue to provide financial assitance to derserving students seeking a career in computer science.
Makes checks payable directly to: Wellington High School. 2101 Greenview Shores Blvd, Wellington, FL 33414. Attn: Gemma Ford. In the memo line write Brandon Wehby Memorial Scholarship. A tax receipt will be mailed to you

How You can help

Brandon George Wehby was born November 13th and passed away September 13th. In honor of Brandon we have designed a logo in the sucide prevention awareness colors incorporating the number 13 (XIII) and his initials BGW. We have added this logo to all kinds of different merchandise and we ask that you consider buying some items as all profit will go to Brandon’s scholarship. In addition we are hoping that you will get asked “what does XIII mean?”. This will be a great opportunity to raise awareness about suicide, help remove the stigma associated with it and provide resources for suicide prevention. We would ask that you direct them to brandonwehby.com. There are resources for those that need help and those interested in volunteering. Hopefully, they too would consider joining the Random Acts of Kindness Project and donating to Brandon’s scholarship.
